Castor Networks’ VNO solutions allow satellite service providers to operate their own VSAT network without the high cost and investment in an iDirect hub and teleport infrastructure. This allows a VNO operator to offer highly competitive broadband IP service anywhere, without a significant upfront investment.
How does it work
A VNO operator leases a slot in the iDirect hub chassis and defines, configures and manages all the services it provides to the end customer. The network of a VNO operator is isolated from the resources of other VNO providers and/or services that Castor runs on the platform.
The VNO operator remotely manages the platform, controls and runs the services to its end customers worldwide with the highest level of autonomy. The tools and features available to the virtual network operator include:
iDirect VNO service options
Castor Networks’ VNO solutions provide several options to fit your requirements.
A VNO Package allows a Service Provider to deploy an entirely physically separate network based on the Castor iDirect hub with a completely independent data path, upgrade autonomy and the highest level of scalability. The services includes:
A VNO license allows a Service Provider to deploy a logically separate network based on Castor hub infrastructure including NMS, Protocol processor and Line Cards with a high level of scalability, while maintaining a lower initial investment then a VNO package. The service includes:
A Managed VNO allows a Company or Organization to deploy either a logically or physically separate network based on Castor hub infrastructure which is fully managed on behalf of the customer by Castor. Castor configures the customer network including QoS profile and CIR/BIR as per the customer’s requirements and installs, commissions and supports all the customer sites. The Customer is able to monitor the network through a remote read-only access to the Network Management System (NMS).
