Castor Networks launches iDirect Evolution services on NSS-12 Ku-band South Asia beam covering Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Buthan, India and Sri Lanka. This powerful beam allows for the use of small antenna’s and cost effective performance.

Castor Networks offers the service through its iDirect 5IF Hub in its state-of-the-art teleport facilities in Burum, The Netherlands. Castor Networks offers the complete solution in-house using its own antennas at the Burum Teleport.

The new network is built on iDirect’s Evolution platform, resulting in very attractive customer pricing because of significant bandwidth efficiency gains through iDirect’s implementation of DVB-S2, Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM) and 2D 16-State inbound coding.

Castor Networks has started accepting orders for the new service which will be available as of March 2011.
