Castor is a leading Dutch provider of Teleport, VSAT and Broadcasting services to Wholesale, Media, Government and Business customers.

Once the satellite broadcasting division of the Dutch incumbent KPN, Castor was created in 2004 following a management buy-out. Now privately financed, the company is based in Hilversum (The Netherlands) and is owner-operator of two teleports and a leased fibre network from which it provides broadcasting and other IP based services to a national and international client base.

Our mission is to be a natural partner for our customers in providing them the high quality services and professional support they need. We focus on creating long-term relationships with our customers and some of our key customers have been with us for over 15 years. Castor has currently two offices and operates two teleports. Our headquarters is based in Hilversum, the Netherlands. The Africa Sub-Saharan regional head-office is in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Castor Networks provides reliable mission and business critical communication services including iDirect, SCPC, Wholesale IP Trunking and Teleport services. To achieve this high availability and reliability, all services of Castor are set-up fully redundant in The Netherlands with ready to be deployed spares.

Castor Broadcasting provides services for live video and audio applications, whether it is Occasional Use consumer, TV and Radio contribution services, Uplinking of DTH bouquets, in-store promotionbroadcasting or downlinking and encoding of TV channels for IPTV providers. Castor provides contribution and distribution links for point-to-point or point-to-multipoint transmissions. Our end-to-end solutions include connectivity from/to the studio, atellite/streaming capacity, encryption, receiver equipment, installation services, redundancy and 24/7 monitor and control.
